Doubtless you are wondering if all this Alternative Management stuff actually works. Who is this guy, and did he actually rise up the ladder this Alternative way, or is it all just cynical nonsense that fails when put to the test in a real office?
Well, for obvious reasons, I prefer to stay anonymous.
What I can tell you is that I eventually rose to become Projects Director in one of the largest companies in the UK, before ultimately deciding that I preferred a different life. I now make my living primarily from consulting work. I've done engagements across the world - USA , India, Europe, UK - and apart from minor cultural variations, everything I suggest in this blog seems to be universal. After all, it's mostly about human nature, and human nature is the same everywhere.
But I'd love to hear your feedback, especially from those of you bold enough to try out some of the ideas suggested here. Or from those who think it's all nonsense.
